Fish Like MADD fishing tournament, April 24

MADD SWFL will host the inaugural Fish Like MADD tournament presented by Aloia Roland on April 24 on the Waters of Lee County. The event was created to honor the life of Dylan Gonzalez who died tragically while fishing after being struck by an underage impaired captain. Join Anglers and MADD Southwest Florida for a fun, friendly competition for the longest snook, redfish and sea trout. The Captain’s Meeting and weigh in will take place at Overtime Pizzeria & Sports Club located at 1708 Cape Coral Parkway West, Cape Coral, FL 33914. Registration fees and other contributions directly benefit victims and survivors of drunk, drugged and substance-impaired driving as well as funds MADD SWFL’s free awareness and prevention programs. Community Cooperative strives to be the leader in alleviating hunger and homelessness in our community by addressing key root causes. The mission of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates is to educate the public and inspire an inventive spirit by interpreting and preserving the innovations, legacies, artifacts, gardens, homes, laboratory, and other structures of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, emphasizing Florida history, science, horticulture, and the arts. The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce represents over 800 businesses, professionals, and individuals throughout Lee County. The Chamber provides opportunities for members to network with other businesses, participate in meaningful committee work, become better educated through various Chamber-sponsored programs, and communicate one-on-one with community leaders. Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. Aloia Roland team members are active in a variety of Southwest Florida clubs serving the community.

The mission of Valerie’s House is to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one together and go on to live fulfilling lives. Aloia Roland is a proud supporter.

The Family Resource Center of Southwest Florida, Inc. is committed to providing a safe, neutral, and conflict-free environment for children and parents to reunite and thereby strengthen child-parent relationships. Family law attorney, Danielle Levy Seitz currently serves on the Board of Directors.

The American Board of Trial Advocates, founded in 1958, is an organization dedicated to defending the American civil justice system. Established in 1949, the Lee County Bar Association was formed as a voluntary organization of attorneys living and working in Lee County, Florida. Since its founding, the membership has grown to nearly 1,000 and includes attorneys in adjacent counties whose clients have business and court issues in Lee County. The purpose of the organization is to further the education of its members, create meaningful interaction among its members, and to inform the community on important legal matters.
