
Jonathan A. Martin
Jonathan Martin brought his extensive trial experience and staid reputation for dedicated service to Aloia Roland in the Summer of 2022. He joins Senior Partners Ty Roland and Evan Lubell in leading the firm’s Personal Injury & Wrongful Death department.
Jonathan began his law career as a prosecutor with the 20th Judicial Circuit’s Office of the State Attorney. In a short time, he was promoted to serve as the prosecutor for Glades County, where he handled every case in the county, from misdemeanors to murders. He left the SAO to begin representing the injured in 2015.
He is an AV-rated personal injury attorney who has been to trial over 90 times for both civil and criminal matters. Since entering private practice Jonathan has recovered over 36 million dollars for the hundreds of injured clients and survivors he has represented.
Jonathan is married to Amy Martin, who serves as an Assistant State Attorney with the 20th Circuit. She is an avid University of Florida fan, and they enjoy going to games with their three children.

Involvement & Education
Currently, Martin serves as the Florida State Senator representing District 33 (Lee County). He has served as the Chair of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee since 2022. Since his election to the Senate he has been the primary sponsor of over 50 bills signed into law. In addition, he has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in state appropriations for Lee County and its numerous cities to help with Hurricane Ian recovery, protect our environment, and enhance our infrastructure.
He was previously appointed by two governors to serve as a Trustee for Florida Southwestern State College from 2018 until 2022. He has started two chapters of the Federalist Society – first, at Liberty University School of Law and second, in SWFL. He has served on the 20th Judicial Circuit’s Professionalism Committee, President of the Hendry-Glades Bar Association, is an Eagle member of the Florida Justice Association, and an active member of the Bar Association in Lee County, Cape Coral, and Hendry-Glades. He has also served on the board of a local private school and represented Lee County as a Delegate to the 2016 and 2024 Republican National Conventions.
