Aloia, Roland, Lubell & Morgan, PLLC reach settlement agreement with The School Board of Lee County
Aloia, Roland, Lubell & Morgan, PLLC senior partners and lead attorneys, Ty Roland and Evan Lubell reached a settlement agreement with the School Board of Lee County. This evening, The School Board of Lee County unanimously voted to approve a $950,000 settlement and the creation of an annual memorial football game aimed to promote heat stroke prevention. A portion of the proceeds from the annual football game will benefit the Zach Martin Memorial Foundation.

The Zachary Martin Act established as Florida law
“Just last week, Governor Ron DeSantis officially signed the Zachary Martin Act into law. Starting July 1, the statewide prevention mandate was established to protect high school student athletes from heat stroke and related illnesses. This landmark legislation is especially noteworthy as its namesake is one of Southwest Florida’s very own. Three years ago, Riverdale High School football player Zach Martin collapsed after a 4-hour practice in the brutal summer heat.”
