Ty G. Roland

Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar

Ty G. Roland, Managing Partner of Aloia | Roland | Lubell and Senior Partner in the Firm’s Personal Injury Practice with Frank Aloia’s business and real estate legal practice a move many in the legal community considered risky. At the time, Roland was already very comfortable staring down risk.

Raised in a New Jersey household long on values and service to community, at 18, Roland left the comfort of those familiar surroundings and headed south 1,200 miles to Miami to attend The U. This would be the first in a long line of risks Roland would take in his life without flinching.

Roland’s injury and wrongful death practice grew steadily during the 2000s, in large part based on this reputation to do what many other attorneys judged as too risky, namely, going to trial. In an area of the law where the attorney does not get a fee if the injured party does not receive a cash award, the pressure is very often high to settle the case quickly and move on. Going to trial is a risk especially against a giant corporation or insurance company where time and money are on their side.

The willingness of Roland to say, “See you in court,” and to back it up year after year has turned risk into reward for his many clients. Knowing that Roland, and partner Evan Lubell, will take on the risk of a trial to get justice and fair compensation for their clients regularly leads to a successful non-trial settlement. Should a case of Roland’s go to trial, as it did in December 2016 for a mother seeking justice for an electrocuted son, that “risk” produced a $23 million judgment.
